Wayne`s love for wildlife sprung from a young age, as he spent most of his childhood exploring the outdoors. His passion for birds of prey was fueled by his career. Wayne and his wife ran a residential unit, for teenage boys with learning difficulties and social problems.
This setting gave Wayne the opportunity to use falconry as a tool to engage these young people in an activity that would improve their communication and social skills. Within one year these young men were delivering demonstrations to 100`s of people across the country.
In 1999 Wayne and his family moved to 'Rosliston Forestry Centre' and during the last 10 years have managed and developed the centre for a partnership including South Derbyshire District Council, The Forestry Commission and The National Forest
Falconry has now become an occupation with contracts with Center Parcs (Sherwood Forest),Education and local authorities, delivering all aspects of Falconry including displays, Education, Courses, Schools, alternative education, and experiences
Along with Wayne`s extensive personal and professional experience with falconry, he is also an assessor for the national accredited Lantra award.
